comemorative-plaqueThe picture shows a plaque, one I self-commissioned and placed. It reads ‘An(other) Attempt At Exhausting A Place In Paris’. Over 3 days in October 1974 Perec went to various locations within the vicinity of Place Saint Sulpice and he most probably would have sat at this bench. The plaque identifies the spot and marks it so passersby can discover for themselves, observing as Perec did in Oct 1974, and as I retraced in Oct 2014, a plain observation of ‘what happens when nothing happens’.
